Truckee Tahoe 4th of July Flyover Honors Healthcare Workers

Warbirds Take To The Air in Truckee and Lake Tahoe To Honor Our Independence and Frontline Healthcare Workers

We may not have our parades, big backyard parties, the Truckee Airshow, or any other major festivities this 4th of July. Thanks to the Truckee Airshow we will have a parade in the air.  To honor our independence and our frontline healthcare workers there will be a flyover of vintage Warbirds on the 4th starting at 11am. The flyover will be led by Betsey’s Biscuit, a C-47 Bomber.

Betsy’s Biscuit will be accompanied by other C-47 Bombers as well as other vintage aircraft. The full lineup can be found at 4th of July Flyover.  Due to COVID the tough decision was made to cancel the Airshow. For this reason as well there will be no aircraft on display.

The flyover is scheduled to commence at 11 a.m. and will circle through Truckee and Tahoe Forest Hospital before making their way around all 4 sides of Lake Tahoe, including Barton Medical Center in So Lake Tahoe. The brigade is expected to finish by 12:15 p.m.
